The collected samples were identified based on conventional diagnostic methods (10% KOH and culture on different media). The virulence factors of isolated all <em>\u00a0\u00a0Candida albicans <\/em>such as hydrolytic enzymes and biofilm were also detected.Direct microscopic examination showed that (31.6%) was positive for <em>Candida <\/em>spp., while culturing on Sabouraud Dextrose Agar medium revealed (42.5%) <em>Candida<\/em> species. The highest percentage of oral candidiasis was in the age group less than one year (23.53%) &amp; the lowest was in 31-60 years (15.68%). Females are more susceptible to oral Candidiasis (62.75%) than males (37.25%). Patients with cancer also revealed the highest rate of infection (31.37%), followed by (29.41%) of frequently antibiotics consumers, (15.69%) smokers and (11.76%) patients have diabetes mellitus type 2. The most detected <em>Candida<\/em> species was <em>C. albicans<\/em> 62.75% (32 of 51) followed by <em>C.krusei<\/em> (17.65%), <em>C.tropicalis<\/em> (9.8%), <em>C. dubliniensis<\/em> (7.84%) and the lowest isolated species was <em>C.glabrata<\/em> (1.96%).All <em>Candida albicans<\/em>\u00a0showed proteinase and phospholipase activities, (78.13%) and (34.38%) of them were strong producers respectively.
