Irony functions as a shared cultural and ideological faculty between the speaker and the audience, fostering a nuanced communicative exchange. Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology, this research meticulously traces and examines manifestations of irony, with the objective of delineating its patterns within the poetic oeuvre of Hassan Ali Al- Ni&#8217;ma, particularly through a selection of his compositions. The study culminates in several key findings, foremost among them being the assertion that verbal irony serves as a potent rhetorical mechanism, enriching the textual fabric with heightened coherence and profundity. It emerges as a dynamic and compelling expression of the poet\u2019s vision, conferring upon the adept practitioner a distinctive artistic signature.
