The study was conducted on a sample of 500 successful secondary school students using a questionnaire designed to explore the causes of this gap. The findings reveal flaws in the current assessment system, which heavily relies on rote memorization without fostering critical thinking and analytical skills. Additionally, there is a weakness in exam question design and a lack of effective feedback provided to students. The study is grounded in educational literature emphasizing the importance of formative assessment and diversifying evaluation tools to ensure validity and objectivity.
