We see that he was well-versed in the science of Qur&#8217;anic inimitability, just as he was well-versed in other Qur&#8217;anic sciences. In this work, he expressed a clear opinion: that the inimitability of the Book of God lies in the &#8220;sarfa&#8221; (divine intervention), and that God Almighty prevented the Arabs from producing a similar work by depriving them of the knowledge that would enable them to do so.
