Abstract
The present study deals with a chemical taxonomic study for some cultivars species cultivated of the genus Brassica L .namely:Brassica. oleracae var.capitata (: Kirmizi , Rosso) , B. oleracae var.botrytis(Turkey, palla) ,B. oleracae var. italica(Turkey , Calabrese) ,B.rapaB.nigra ( Local ).By using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technique the result showed identify (11) phenolic compound in the alcoholic extraction of the leaves were : (Qurecetin, Rutin, Kampferol,Gallic acide ,Ferulic acide , Caffinic acide,P-cumaric acide , Catechine , Vanillic acide , Apigenin , Ellagic acide) The difference between the cultivars regarding the chemical content can be relied upon a guide line and classification indicator in the identification and isolation of the cultivars and supporting another taxonomic study such as morphological and anatomical.
