Abstract

In this study, five isolates of Rhizobium bacteria were isolated from several different agricultural areas of Nineveh Governorate. The five isolates showed their ability to move on TY semi-solid medium. The isolates also showed their ability to dilute gelatin. The five isolates also showed a positive result for the growth test on tri-sugar and iron medium. These isolates also showed their ability to produce the enzyme catalase and urease enzyme,The results of the molecular diagnosis of the isolates showed that they were 100% identical to the standard isolates registered in the genebank, and the biological activity of silver nanoparticles showed a clear anti-bacterial effect on the growth of Rhizobium bacteria, where the first concentration (250) had the least effect, while the third concentration (750) had the highest effect, as for pathogenic bacteria. It was more resistant to the effect of nanoparticles due to its possession of many virulence factors and its portfolio that reduces the penetration of antimicrobial substances.
