Abstract
The aim of study the objective of this study was to survey the effect of smoking on liver enzymes (GOT, GPT), Urea and uric acid levels and compare these levelswiththe non-smoking people.
Methods
This study included (40) Sample were collected from Al-Hussein educational hospital in Karbala City. The Sample were divided into two groups, the first group was (n=20) Smoking male, and the second group was (n=20) non-smoking male which is the healthy as control. The samples were collected from smokers venous which are used as serum.
Results
We clarify the mechanism of impaired liver enzyme levels in smoker , Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase ( GOT ) , Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase ( GPT ) , Urea and Uric acid were examined , a significant increase in level of GPT , GOT , Ureaand Uric Acid , in smoker compared with control group .
Conclusion
During study demonstrate that large effected of smoker on function of liver and kidney due to distruction on all organs in the body.
