Abstract

The Substitution is a one of the phonetic morphological phenomena while we are retaining the rest of the letters of the word. It is from the norms of Arabic to replace letters and establish some of them in place of each other. This phenomenon makes the pronunciation of certain words easy, this is achieved by the availability of a phonetic relationship between the two exchanged letters and is especially evident in their agreement in the exit, or their closeness in it, or their participation in some characteristics such as loudness, whispering, intensity and softness.

In the Holy Qur’an, interchangeable, slurred words are mentioned once, and others are not altered, such as: they remember – they remember, they hear – they listen, they are consistent – they are consistent, Mecca – Bakkah, and so on. And the use of these two forms  in the Noble Qur’an does not come arbitrarily because the Qur’an is very precise  in use, as it does not use two words with one meaning, even if they are synonymous or interchangeable, and if they are from two different languages, it is specific to each of them with a meaning.
