Abstract
The research dealt with the issue of the reality of informational awareness for users of social networks with its dimensions represented in (the need for information, searching for information, sources of information, using information, evaluating information, social and ethical issues), for a sample of administrative leaders at the University of Mosul, which included (the university president and his assistants, deans Faculties and their assistants, heads of departments, branches and scientific centers). The study sample consisted of 215) individuals from the leaders at the University of Mosul, and the study sought to test the hypothesis that states (there are dimensions of information awareness in the research organization), in order to answer the questions posed by the research problem and achieve its goals set by building a model framework for the research variable and community service, where Universities are one of the vital sectors in it, by providing it with various cognitive disciplines by adopting the descriptive analytical approach and using the ready-made software (SPSSV26).
Based on the conclusions of the study, a set of recommendations were developed, the most important of which was to work on developing the information awareness skills of individuals through holding courses and seminars to increase their information awareness and the need to enjoy moral and societal values.
