ABSTRACT
This study was conducted in the poultry farm–of the Animal Production Department-College of Agriculture and Forestry-Mosul University for the period from October 31th, 2021 to November 11th, 2021 The study lasted six weeks. To find out the effect of adding Bay and Moringa leavespowder on the productive characteristics of broilers, 240 unsexed Ross-308 brids were used,at the age of one day and with an average weight of 41.6 g, the birds wererandomly assigned to five treatments with four replicates (12 birds / replicate). The studybegin at seven days to 42 days of age. The treatments were as follows: T1-control The birds reared at standard rationwithout any addition. T2- add bay leaf leaves 3g/kg of diet. T3 – add bay leaf leaves 6 g / kg diet. T4-Addition of Moringa leaf powder, 3 g/kg of diet. T5-Addition of Moringa leaf powder, 6g/kg of diet. Results showed there was a significant superiority at the level of significance (P≤0.05) in favor of treatment T5 in the final live body weight and total weight gain over treatments T1, T3 and T4, and the superiority of treatment T5 in the amount of total feed consumed compared to the control and the rest of the treatments, while there were no significant differences in the trait of total feed conversion ratio in all treatments.
