Abstract:
The current research aims to investigate the impact of project-based learning by employing a set of educational applications in developing students’ skills to carry out performance tasks in the English language subject in the intermediate stage. The study sample consisted of 76 students (31 students in the first-grade average and 45 students in the third-grade average). At the Sixth Memorization Middle School in Jeddah. The research used a set of mobile applications (mobile – iPad – tablet and laptop) that are compatible with the four English language skills. The research followed the semi-experimental approach based on the one-sample group and the analytical descriptive approach. The research tools were evaluation forms (observation card and monitoring card) designed by the researcher. To analyze the results, the researcher used a number of statistical methods, and work was done on the SPSS program and the T test to notice the differences before and after the application of the research, the results showed a significant improvement in the level of performing the performance tasks of the students by 30% after employing the applications in the learning process. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected, as a statistically significant difference was found at the level of significance (α = 0.05) after employing the applications.
