Abstract
The national identity of any country is a measure of the degree of progress andcivilization and a sign of social stability that leads to stability in the politicaleconomic and cultural aspects. Any disturbance or instability in national identity will negatively affect the unity of society. The Iraqi national identity in particular after 2003 and similar internal and external challenges led to its dismantling, whichled to negative repercussions of the difficulty to control. This study shows theobstacles that faced the Iraqi national identity and the solutions that can limit theserepercussions both internally and externally
