Organized crime poses a very serious challenge and threat to Iraqi national security and to most governments of the world, as it weakens the authority of law enforcement and threatens state institutions and society. Organized crime has become a security, economic and social threat, as it is an illegal activit Unfortunately, the Iraqi governments after 2003 did not deal with and combat organized crime through the procedures and measures taken, and they were not successful in finding final solutions to address this phenomenon for political, economic and international reasons, weak legislation and the connection of organized crime networks to influential local, regional and international parties , This has had a negative impact on internal security and stability, as Iraq has become a fertile environment for the spread of crimes, the most prominent of which are corruption, drugs, terrorism, money laundering, and human trafficking
