Abstract
A field experiment was carried out at the Field Crops Department Research Station – College of Agriculture – Tikrit University, during the winter season 2021-2022 to study some characteristic of vegetative growth. It was used randomized complete block design (R.C.B.D) with three replications in accordance with system of split plots for one-time. The results have been compared depending on Duncan test on possibility level (1% and 5%). The results of the study showed the significant superiority of the Syrian variety in some vegetative growth characteristics of flax plant, as the plant height reached (99.888) cm plant⁻¹ and chlorophyll b content (1.2075 mg g¹⁻ soft weight), and the fertilizer combination (T9) was significantly superior to most of the studied traits of flax plant In the character of the number of main branches (3.566) plant branch ⁻¹ and the content of chlorophyll a, b and total (1.064, 1.333, 1.836) mg g⁻¹ soft weight, the binary interaction showed a significant effect on some vegetative growth characteristics, where the interaction between the Syrian variety and the fertilizer combination was superior. (T9) with most of the studied traits, including plant height (101,600) plant cm⁻¹ and chlorophyll content a (1.0878) mg g⁻¹ fresh weight.
