Abstract

The study aims to test the effectiveness of fiscal and monetary policy in targeting inflation in Tunisia, using data for the period (1995-2020). )”, to test the effectiveness of fiscal and monetary policy in taming inflation in tunisia, The study reached to confirm the results of Johansson Geisels, the existence of a common integration between the variables under study, in addition to the test results confirm for the long-term the ineffectiveness of fiscal policy in the treatment of inflation, while the effectiveness of monetary policy in the treatment of inflation, that is, the possibility of using monetary policy in the treatment of inflation, which is more effective. In the short term, the results confirm the ineffectiveness of monetary policy in targeting inflation in Tunisia while the effectiveness of fiscal policy in targeting inflation
