Abstract
The current study was conducted during the period from September 2022 to August 2023. It included a morphological identification, molecular and environmental study of some species of the metallic blow fly (Calliphoridae: Diptera ) in Basra Governorate at three main permanent stations. It includes the north, south and center of Basra Governorate. The collection was done once every two weeks.
Four species belonging to three genera were recorded. The morphological description based on some characteristics, such as the presence or absence of a row of hairs on the radius vein, the color of the spiracles, the color of gena in adults and the diagnostic characteristics of larvae and pupae. The described species and genera are:
