Abstract
The issue of statelessness is a problem in the field of private international law citizenship “, as one of the important controls for determining the law applicable to a dispute involving a foreign element, In order to get out of this problem, Jordanian legislators and many other legislators have given authority to the court or judge to determine the applicable law in the case of a stateless person in matters based on a citizenship officer. stateless persons “, resulting in the instability of transactions and legal centres for the numerous opinions and attitudes of the officer to be referred to in order to determine the law applicable to stateless persons, in contrast to foreign legislation such as Spain, which established the law applicable to stateless persons, This study found a clear legislative lack to determine the applicable law in the case of stateless persons s discretion to determine the law applicable in international private relations, This study therefore recommends that the legislator develop a clear legal text to determine the law applicable to a stateless person.
