Abstract
The goal of this research was to evaluate how much multimedia is incorporated into the teaching of Arabic in public intermediate schools of Anbar Governorate from the perspective of the teachers. A purposive sample of 155 male and female Arabic language teachers from these schools was surveyed using a structured questionnaire comprised of 22 items, the reliability and validity of which were rigorously tested.
The results indicated that there were no significant differences among teachers based on multimedia use and gender (α ≤ 0.05). However, significant differences were found based on the instructors’ academic qualifications. Given these outcomes, the study suggests the need for specialized-professional development training tailored to improving multimedia instruction, at the veteran teachers because they seemingly underemphasized technology in their education training.
