Abstract
The research endeavor sought to elucidate the influence of occupational burnout, characterized by its three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, diminished personal achievement, and adverse interpersonal treatment, on job performance among both male and female personnel employed within the Education Directorate of Nablus Governorate. A quantitative and analytical methodology was employed, and the study’s population encompassed 125 administrative and educational staff members. A total of 125 questionnaires were disseminated to these employees, with 20 utilized for a pilot study to ascertain the reliability and validity of the research instrument. The remaining 105 questionnaires were circulated to the other members of the sample, which also reflects the study’s population. To accomplish the objectives of the research and scrutinize its hypotheses, the study employed a questionnaire comprising 30 statements organized into two variables and three dimensions, alongside five statements assessing demographic variables. The SPSS statistical software was utilized for analysis. The findings of the study revealed a negligible effect of job burnout on performance, with an average level of job performance observed among the employees within the Education Directorate. Furthermore, the outcomes indicated the absence of statistically significant disparities in job burnout and job performance resulting from demographic factors such as gender, educational qualifications, years of experience, and job nature. The study advocated for the enhancement of employee performance through training, motivation, and the cultivation of individual competencies. Additionally, it recommended addressing the phenomenon of job burnout, despite its current minimal impact, and called for the development of policies that foster a healthy work environment within educational institutions broadly.
