Abstract:
The Arabic calligraphy skills that teachers and teachers use in developing technical skills, we find that most skills are almost weak for most students and this is due to the shortcomings in teaching methods, which are often inappropriate, and therefore modern teaching methods and methods, this skill deals effectively With the elements of Arabic calligraphy from measuring and controlling letters and the distances between letters and words, as well as material means of implementation represented by materials and tools, and through this interaction between the calligrapher and his artistic personality.
As the current research aims to reveal the causes and factors of poor writing and calligraphy among high school students and ways to develop them.
As the current research community represented the secondary requests of Al-Isra evening for girls – Baghdad / Rusafa, the first of which had a number of female students (282) from ages (15-27) years, and a sample of the original community was chosen and it was a random stratified sample, as one division was chosen for each age group .
As the researcher conducted an exploratory study related to Arabic calligraphy and regular writing about his study of the reasons for poor writing among students, questions were asked for teachers to explain the need for such a study, and it was presented to a group of experts, to take the validity of the form.
Accordingly, the researcher came up with a set of results and conclusions, the most important of which are:
There is an actual neglect of the art education lesson in schools in general, which leads to poor writing and calligraphy skills, in addition to the weakness and limitations in the capabilities of teachers and teachers in the field of writing and Arabic calligraphy, which is thus reflected in the performance of students, the lack of teachers and teachers in the Arabic calligraphy courses.

By re-adopting the Arabic Calligraphy brochure in schools for several stages, the teachers directed the necessity of observing school notebooks for students, alerting to spelling and aesthetic errors, and allocating part of the art and family education lessons to teaching and improving Arabic calligraphy and writing.
