Abstract
This study explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in promoting tolerance and intercultural dialogue by enhancing communication, reducing cultural and linguistic barriers, and supporting mutual understanding among diverse communities. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study reviews relevant literature on AI, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, and hate speech. The findings indicate that AI contributes to fostering cultural understanding through real-time translation, content analysis, and educational applications that encourage acceptance of diversity and peaceful coexistence. The study also highlights AI’s role in detecting and limiting hate speech in digital environments. However, challenges such as algorithmic bias, privacy concerns, and ethical and legal issues remain significant. The study concludes that the responsible and ethical use of AI, supported by appropriate regulatory frameworks, can strengthen social cohesion, intercultural understanding, and tolerance. It recommends developing inclusive AI systems that respect cultural diversity and enhancing cooperation among academic, technological, and governmental institutions.
